Venus in Tokyo, a neo-ethereal art x fashion boutique based in Brooklyn, is pleased to present its debut off-site New York Fashion Week event in collaboration with Markette, a femme-led curated fashion market.

This New York Fashion Week, Venus in Tokyo invites bespoke jewelry designers and emerging fashion designers based outside of NYC / internationally to exhibit pieces in our debut styling presentation and neo-ethereal art x fashion exhibition in a one-day pop up in Lower East Side NYC on September 13, 2025.
At our NYFW“CARNIVAL”— guests can expect a visually delicious shopping curation meets art installation featuring an infinite spectrum of handmade, 1/1 and designer pieces of clothing, jewelry, avant-garde accessories made in NYC and around the world.
Stylistically, Venus in Tokyo and Markette overlap in their sensibility to Japanese fashion, where kawaii and Harajuku influences merge with cyber-punk metal and grunge. Markette events always feel like a “diva-meet up”for archive Japanese and Euro fashion-heads, while Venus in Tokyo’s boutique tastes like a princess candyland of pink pearls, black lacquer and mother of pearl, and shimmering drapery on tables covered in ethereal jewelry and kitsch trinkets.
We started fantasizing about “CARNIVAL”as our daydreams of simpler days in the early 2000s merged with the fantasy of a carnival reimagined through the lens of art x fashion.
Our guests will be treated to nostalgic carnival snacks like popcorn, cotton candy, & sweet drinks while a gorgeous bunch of models will work the space styled by Venus in Tokyo’s founders Jess and Jordan. Each model will wear a look featuring bespoke pieces by Venus in Tokyo’s list of NYFW featured designers.
